The parent company of Dashu Bespoke Design Atelier was established in Vancouver, BC, Canada in 1935. The company served the maritime and foundry industry throughout World War II. As a shipchandler, we supplied the merchant marine until the 1980s. In 1967, the company was purchased by the current owner.
For almost 50 years, the company evolved into a product design and development company serving a multitude of international clients over a wide range of manufacturing disciplines including tooling, casting, modelling, machining and molding.
In the past 10 years, the focus has brought us back to our roots – handcrafted bespoke designs and creations – that allow us to fully utilize our European artisan craftsmanship. Now more a labour of love and pride, in a world of mass production, our unique custom offerings are a glimpse into a future with a strong link to the past.
Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away
